Client wants to conduct IP study based on sequence/structure search. For this purpose scientific & technical information network (STN) is used to capture patents/patent applications containing sequences/structure provided by the client.

Conducting Sequence/Structure based search through STN
Conducting Keyword & Class (IPC, US, ECLA) based search
Extracting Sequence/Structure from the file wrapper of patents/patent application
Analysis of patents/patent application to filter out the relevant patents/patent applications
For Prior Art: Conducting sequence/structure (STN) and keyword based search to identify the relevant non-patent literature
